Ferrari PPF in Dubai

A Ferrari sits low, moves fast and wears some of the most complex paint in the industry. That combination makes it one of the first cars to show damage on UAE roads. A single highway run behind a truck can leave the nose peppered with chips, and repainting a Ferrari panel to match the factory finish is never simple. PPF stops that damage before it happens.

FERRARI PAINT PROTECTION FILM – HOW WE PROTECT MARANELLO’S FINISH

At CarEngineering in Dubai we protect front-engine, mid-engine and hybrid Ferraris: the Roma, 296 GTB and GTS, SF90 Stradale, F8 Tributo, 812, 12Cilindri and Purosangue. Our polyurethane film is thick, clear and self-healing. It absorbs gravel strikes, sand and minor scrapes, and light marks fade in the heat. The film is chosen to suit the paint. Clear gloss adds depth to Rosso Corsa and multi-layer reds. Matte paint protection film gives gloss paint a satin look. For factory matte colours, we select film that does not change the shade or texture. Colour change PPF is available for owners who want a new look along with protection.

FERRARI BODYWORK IS TAKEN APART, NOT TRIMMED AROUND

On a Ferrari we remove the parts where a film edge would sit in plain view: bumpers, lights, mirrors, badges and intake trims.

Ferrari body parts are sculpted, lightweight and expensive to replace, so this job is only done by technicians used to supercars. Front bumpers wrap around low splitters and brake ducts. Mid-engine cars have deep side intakes ahead of the rear wheels. Many models carry carbon fibre trims and active aerodynamic parts. We take off what the job requires, cover each part so the film ends on its hidden side, refit everything to the original gaps and test the lights, sensors and aero functions.

This is where Ferrari PPF quotes in Dubai differ most. A cheaper job trims the film on the car, which leaves a thin line of exposed paint along every edge of a low, fast car. Grit collects on that line, and it becomes the first place the film lifts.

WHY FERRARI PPF NEEDS DISASSEMBLY?

A Ferrari’s surfaces flow from one into the next: bonnet into wings, wings into intakes, intakes into the rear haunches. Film cut in place has to stop somewhere on those curves, and on a Ferrari every stopping point shows.

No edge on the nose. With the front bumper and lights off, the film continues behind every edge, so the lowest and most exposed part of the car has no line where chips can start.

Covered side intakes. On mid-engine cars, the intakes in front of the rear wheels take a constant stream of sand and stones. On removed trims, we cover them fully, deep into the opening.

Correct film on multi-layer paint. Film laid evenly on a removed part does not stretch or thin out. The depth and colour of a three-layer red look exactly as they did before protection.

FERRARI PPF IN DUBAI — FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is PPF Ferrari and why is it essential for a Ferrari in Dubai?

PPF Ferrari is a clear self-healing polyurethane film installed over the car’s paintwork to protect it from the damage Dubai roads produce on a vehicle that sits low and moves fast. A single highway run behind a truck can leave the nose peppered with stone chips. Sand and road debris hit the bonnet and hood constantly. Bird droppings and UV damage attack multi-layer paint finishes that are among the most complex in the automotive industry. Premium paint protection film stops all of this before it reaches the clear coat, preserving the paintwork in factory condition and maintaining the car’s value for years.

Which Ferrari models do you install PPF on?

CarEngineering protects front-engine, mid-engine and hybrid Ferraris in Dubai: the Roma, 296 GTB and GTS, SF90 Stradale, F8 Tributo, 812, 12Cilindri and Purosangue. Every Ferrari is different in its body contour, panel layout and paint specification, so the installation process is assessed individually for each car. Matte factory colours, carbon aero packages and spider roofs each add detail work that our specialists account for before confirming the final price.

Does Ferrari PPF work on Rosso Corsa and multi-layer red paint?

Yes, and it is especially important on these finishes. Ferrari’s multi-layer reds, including Rosso Corsa, are among the most demanding paints to repair or match if a panel is damaged. Clear gloss premium PPF adds depth to these colours and protects them without altering their shine. The key is precision during the installation process: film laid evenly on a removed part does not stretch or thin out, so the depth and colour of a three-layer red look exactly as they did before protection was installed. For flawless results on complex Ferrari paintwork, disassembly before installation is not optional.

Does Ferrari PPF recover from light scratches and swirl marks?

Yes. The premium PPF installed at CarEngineering is thick and self-healing. Light scratches and swirl marks in the film surface disappear with heat from the Dubai sun, restoring the film’s appearance without any polishing, wash correction or repair. This means the car looked after with PPF maintains its shine through everyday driving without the owner needing to suspect surface damage every time the car comes back from a car park.

Why does Ferrari PPF installation require disassembly?

A Ferrari’s surfaces flow from one into the next: bonnet into wings, wings into intakes, intakes into the rear haunches. Film cut in place on the car has to stop somewhere on those curves, and on a Ferrari every stopping point shows. The front bumper wraps around low splitters and brake ducts. Mid-engine cars like the F8 Tributo and SF90 have deep side intakes ahead of the rear wheels that take a constant stream of sand and stones. Many models carry carbon fibre trims and active aerodynamic parts.

Without disassembly, a thin line of exposed paint runs along every edge of a low, fast car. Grit collects on that line and it becomes the first place the film lifts. CarEngineering removes bumpers, lights, mirrors, badges and intake trims, finishes every edge on the hidden side of each part, refits everything to the original gaps and tests lights, sensors and aero functions before handover.

What does the PPF installation process include for a Ferrari?

The installation process begins with paint correction and thorough preparation so the premium paint protection film is installed over a clean, flawless surface. Dirt, grit and any existing swirl marks are addressed before the film goes on. Our specialists then remove the required panels, apply the film with precision to follow every contour of the car, wrap all edges out of sight and reassemble the vehicle. Every function is checked before the car leaves the studio. For a full PPF installation on a Ferrari this process cannot be rushed, and the time it takes is reflected in the quality of the result.

What finish options are available for PPF Ferrari?

CarEngineering offers clear gloss PPF to preserve and enhance the factory shine, matte PPF to give a gloss Ferrari a satin look, and specialist film for factory matte colours that does not change the shade or texture of the original paintwork. Colour change PPF is also available for clients who want a new appearance along with protection. Beyond the full body wrap, we also protect carbon parts, glass, interior trim and chrome details, and ceramic coating over the film is available for clients who want an additional layer of shine and easier maintenance.

Is a rear bumper and hood the minimum coverage worth doing on a Ferrari?

Front-end protection covering the bumper, bonnet, wings, mirrors and headlights is a practical starting point for daily-driven performance cars. The hood and front bumper are the most exposed surfaces on any sports car and take the most stone chips and road debris. That said, mid-engine Ferraris also have vulnerable side intakes ahead of the rear wheels, and the rear bumper picks up grit thrown by the rear tyres. For a car of this value, full PPF coverage of the entire vehicle delivers the most complete protection and is what most of our clients choose.

How much does Ferrari PPF cost in Dubai?

The price list starts from 8,000 AED for full body gloss PPF on coupés such as the Roma, 296 and F8, and from 9,000 AED for the Purosangue SUV, both with a PRO master. TOP master prices start from 11,000 AED and 12,000 AED respectively. Matte and colour change films, carbon aero packages, spider roofs and factory matte paints can add to the cost. Every Ferrari is confirmed individually after our team reviews the specific model, year and preferred finish.
