Motorcycle PPF in Dubai

A motorcycle has no bumper or bonnet to take the hit first. The tank, fairings and fender are the first things exposed to gravel, sand and boot scuffs. At CarEngineering we protect bikes with the same approach we use on premium cars: panels come off, the film is cut by hand, and every edge is wrapped out of sight.

MOTORCYCLE PAINT PROTECTION FILM – HOW WE PROTECT YOUR BIKE

Riding in the UAE is hard on paint. Highway runs to Hatta or Jebel Jais throw grit at the front fairing. Desert wind sandblasts the side panels. Months of sun fade exposed plastics and clear coat. Our clear paint protection film is a transparent, self-healing layer of XPEL urethane that absorbs this damage instead of your paint. The bike keeps its factory colour and finish, and the film can later be removed without touching the paint underneath. We work with sportbikes, naked bikes, adventure tourers and cruisers. Gloss and matte paint can both be protected, and carbon fibre parts too.

WE REMOVE PANELS BEFORE APPLYING THE FILM

Most bike wraps in Dubai are done with the fairings still bolted on. The film is trimmed a few millimetres short of every edge, and that uncovered strip is exactly where chips start and where the film begins to lift.

We take the relevant panels off first. Fairings, side covers and fender come off, so the film can be wrapped around the inner edge of each part. Our technicians know how motorcycle fasteners, clips and wiring are routed. Every panel goes back exactly as it came off, and the bike is checked before handover. This takes longer and requires trained people, which is why few studios offer it. It is also the main reason our film stays invisible and in place for years rather than one season.

WHY REMOVE PANELS ON A MOTORCYCLE?

A bike’s bodywork is made of small, curved panels with tight gaps between them. Applying film over assembled parts means working blind in those gaps.

With panels off we clean the mounting points, panel joints and tank edges where sand collects. No grit ends up sealed under the film.

Film that folds around the back of a fairing or tank cover has no visible line and no exposed edge for wind and pressure washers to catch at speed.

Small, sharply curved parts are easier to cover evenly when they are off the bike. The film is laid without overstretching, so it does not shrink back from the edges or show stress lines in the heat.

Motorcycle PPF Coverage Options

Choose the level of protection that suits how you ride:

  • Tank protection: the zone that takes knee grip, jacket zips and tank bag wear.
  • Front kit: nose fairing, front fender, headlight and mirrors, the areas hit by stones on the highway.
  • Full bike PPF: every painted and plastic body panel.
  • Matte PPF: turns gloss paint into a satin finish, or keeps factory matte paint matte.
  • Colour change PPF: a new colour with the same self-healing protection.
  • Ceramic coating over the film: easier washing, fewer bugs sticking to the fairing.

Each option starts with a thorough wash and decontamination, plus polishing when needed, so the film goes onto clean, flawless paint.

The final price for motorcycle paint protection film depends on the model, the number and shape of body panels, the chosen finish and the master category. A fully faired sportbike needs more film and more removal time than a naked bike with a small tank and fender. Send us your bike’s make and model on WhatsApp and Telegram, and we will quote an exact price before any work starts.

MOTORCYCLE PPF IN DUBAI — FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is motorcycle PPF and why does a bike need it in Dubai?

Motorcycle PPF is a clear self-healing XPEL urethane film applied to the tank, fairings, fender and other body panels of a bike to protect the paint from the damage Dubai riding produces. A motorcycle has no bumper or bonnet to absorb the first hit. Highway runs to Hatta or Jebel Jais throw grit directly at the front fairing. Desert wind sandblasts the side panels. Months of intense sun fade exposed plastics and clear coat. PPF forms a transparent layer that absorbs all of this instead of the paint, keeping the bike’s factory colour and finish intact.

Which types of motorcycles do you protect?

CarEngineering works with sportbikes, naked bikes, adventure tourers and cruisers. Both gloss and matte paint can be protected, and carbon fibre parts too. Each bike is assessed individually, since a fully faired sportbike has more panels and requires more removal time than a naked bike with a small tank and fender.

What motorcycle PPF coverage options are available?

We offer several levels of protection depending on how the bike is ridden:

  • Tank protection – covers the zone that takes knee grip, jacket zips and tank bag wear.
  • Front kit – nose fairing, front fender, headlight and mirrors, the areas hit by stones on the highway.
  • Full bike PPF – every painted and plastic body panel.
  • Matte PPF – turns gloss paint into a satin finish, or keeps factory matte paint matte.
  • Colour change PPF – a new colour with the same self-healing protection.
  • Ceramic coating over the film – easier washing and fewer bugs sticking to the fairing.

Why do you remove panels before applying motorcycle PPF?

Most bike wraps in Dubai are done with the fairings still bolted on. The film is trimmed a few millimetres short of every edge, and that uncovered strip is exactly where chips start and where the film begins to lift. CarEngineering removes the relevant panels first. Fairings, side covers and fender come off so the film can be wrapped around the inner edge of each part. Our technicians know how motorcycle fasteners, clips and wiring are routed, and every panel goes back exactly as it came off. This is why our film stays invisible and in place for years rather than one season.

What are the benefits of panel removal before PPF?

Removing panels before applying PPF delivers three clear results. First, with panels off we clean the mounting points, panel joints and tank edges where sand collects, so no grit ends up sealed under the film. Second, film that folds around the back of a fairing or tank cover has no visible line and no exposed edge for wind or pressure washers to catch at speed. Third, small sharply curved parts are easier to cover evenly when off the bike, the film is laid without overstretching, so it does not shrink back from the edges or show stress lines in the heat.

Do you use templates or hand-cut the film on a motorcycle?

Every piece of film is cut and fitted by hand. Pre-cut kits are not suited to the tight curves, small panels and varying shapes of motorcycle bodywork. Hand-cutting allows our masters to follow the exact contours of each part and wrap edges fully out of sight.

Does motorcycle PPF work on carbon fibre parts?

Yes. Carbon fibre parts can be protected with the same XPEL paint protection film used on painted panels. The film preserves the carbon fibre’s finish and protects it from stone chips, sand abrasion and UV exposure without altering its appearance.

What preparation is done before the film is applied?

Each motorcycle PPF installation starts with a thorough wash and decontamination of the bike, plus polishing where needed, so the film goes onto clean, flawless paint. Applying film over dirt, sand or existing scratches traps those imperfections permanently under the film and affects the final result.

How much does motorcycle PPF cost in Dubai?

The price depends on the bike’s make and model, the number and shape of body panels, the chosen finish and the master category. A fully faired sportbike needs more film and more panel removal time than a naked bike with a small tank and fender. Send your bike’s make and model on WhatsApp and CarEngineering will provide an exact quote before any work starts.
