Sound Deadening Jeep Wrangler

The Wrangler is one of the few cars you can take apart by hand: the doors come off, the roof panels lift out, and the cabin is designed to be hosed down. That is what makes it so good in the dunes, and also why it is loud on the E311. Owners buy it for the weekend but live with it every weekday. We make the weekday part quieter without taking away what makes a Wrangler a Wrangler.

WE SOLVE THE FOLLOWING PROBLEMS

01

PROTECTION AGAINST NOISE AND VIBRATIONS

We will get rid of excess noise, creaks in the cabin, and low-frequency hum

02

IMPROVING THE SOUND QUALITY OF FACTORY ACOUSTICS IN A CAR

The sound will become more saturated, and the bass will be deep and pleasant

03

THERMAL INSULATION

Keeps the interior cool during the hot season

04

ROAD STABILITY

Improves car behavior when driving on uneven roads

05

SILENCE IN THE CABIN

The car interior will become quieter, and the level of travel comfort will increase

06

CREAKS IN THE INTERIOR

We will resolve issues related to plastic squeaks in the cabin (for an additional fee)

CHANGES IN THE LEVEL OF NOISE REDUCTION FROM DECIBELS AT TIMES

*The change in decibels is not linear but logarithmic. Minus 1 dB is equivalent to a noise reduction of 1.26 times. Therefore, between 30 dB (almost silent) and 120 dB (plane on takeoff), there is only a fourfold difference in numbers, but colossal in reality

WE FOCUS ON QUALITY

The processing takes 2-3 days because we want to achieve maximum results and treat every surface in detail

Jeep Wrangler Soundproofing in Dubai

Noise in a Wrangler comes from many directions at once, because the cabin is built from separate modules instead of one closed shell. Air whistles around the removable roof panels and door seals. The metal floor tub transmits every seam in the road. The rear wheel wells and the tailgate, carrying a full-size spare tyre, act like drums behind your head. Tyre noise gets louder if you run all-terrain or mud tyres.

We work on the metal parts of the body with a 3–4 mm SGM vibration layer and cover them with Barrier Lite or Barrier Ultra membrane blockers. SGM Block fills the voids inside the body. The doors and floor are treated on every Wrangler. For this model, the rear wheel wells and the tailgate are usually worth adding too. The technician confirms the list of zones with you after a test drive and a conversation about how you use the car.

What’s Different About a Wrangler

  • Removable doors: they get the same treatment as on any car, but the material is chosen so the doors keep their weight reasonable and still come off easily.
  • Composite hardtop: the Freedom Top panels are not steel, so the treatment for the roof is decided separately for each car.
  • Soft top or power top: if your Wrangler has a fabric roof, the work concentrates on the doors, floor and rear of the cabin.
  • Tailgate with spare wheel: a heavy, hinged panel that hums and rattles on rough roads, and a common source of noise behind the rear seats.
  • 2-door or 4-door: the Unlimited has a larger floor and more doors, so it needs more material and more time.

We’re known for delivering the best sound deadening Jeep in the city, with precision work and attention to detail.

How We Work on Your Jeep Wrangler

The Wrangler interior is designed to be removed, but it still has to go back tight, without new rattles. Our technicians remove the carpet, door trims and rear panels, treat each metal surface in detail and reassemble the car. This takes 2–3 days, the same as any car we soundproof, because the time goes into preparation and assembly, not only into applying material.

On the floor, we use material no thicker than 4 mm, so the carpet fits properly on reassembly. Before sound deadening, tell us how you use the car: whether you take the doors or roof panels off, and whether you wash out the interior. The technician will plan the treatment around it. Each stage is photographed, and you get a report showing which material went where.

Sound Deadening Jeep Wrangler – FAQs

Why is a Jeep Wrangler louder inside than most cars?

Most cars have a cabin made as one closed shell. A Wrangler is built from separate modules: removable doors, removable roof panels and a tailgate with the spare wheel hanging on it. Every joint between these parts is a path for noise. Air whistles around the roof panels and door seals, the metal floor passes road seams straight into the cabin, and the rear wheel wells and tailgate work like drums. That is why auto sound deadening, or car sound deadening as many drivers call it, on a Wrangler needs a plan for each zone, not one standard kit.

What are the main benefits of sound deadening a Wrangler?

You get a quieter cabin at highway speed, less drumming from the rear, fewer rattles and a cooler interior. Most drivers notice first that they can talk and listen to music without turning the volume up. Road noise, wind noise and the low-frequency hum go down, and the whole driving experience becomes calmer, with less stress on long drives. Your Wrangler stays the same off-road, but on Dubai roads it becomes a much more comfortable ride.

Which sound deadening materials do you use on a Wrangler?

We use SGM, one of the brands made specifically for automotive sound insulation, and build the system in two layers. The first layer is a 3 to 4 mm SGM vibration mat, the type of material the industry often calls butyl mats. It is applied to the metal to stop panel vibration and panel resonance, which is the vibration control part of the job. Over it we lay an SGM Barrier Lite or Barrier Ultra membrane blocker to block noise that travels through the air, while foam layers help absorb noise that is already inside the cabin. Hollow areas of the body can be filled with SGM Block. If you want the exact specification of the butyl layer or the closed cell foam in a product, our specialists will show you before installation.

Is mass loaded vinyl a good idea for a Wrangler?

Mass loaded vinyl is a heavy barrier product that many installers use against airborne noise. In our system, that role is played by SGM Barrier Lite and Barrier Ultra membrane blockers. On a Wrangler, weight matters, especially on the doors you take off by hand, so the technician chooses each material for its job and its weight rather than simply adding as much as possible. The goal is noise insulation that works without hurting the fit or performance of the doors.

Which areas of the Wrangler do you treat?

The doors and floor are treated on every Wrangler. The floor is where road seams and tire noise from all-terrain tyres come in, and the doors, including the front doors, carry a lot of wind noise from the seals. The rear wheel wells and the tailgate are the most common additional measures, because on rough roads they hum like drums. Other key areas, such as the wheel arches or the engine bay, where engine noise comes from, are discussed with you depending on how you use the car. On the floor, the goal is to block road noise before it reaches your feet.

Will sound deadening make my removable doors too heavy?

We think about this before we install sound deadening. On Wrangler doors, the material is chosen to keep the weight reasonable, so the doors still come off easily and go back in place as before. The door skins and door panels still get proper treatment, just with the removal in mind.

Can you treat the Freedom Top hardtop panels?

It depends on the car and on how you use it. If you take the Freedom Top panels off often, the decision about treating them is made separately for your vehicle, so the panels stay easy to remove and store. The technician will discuss the options with you before any work starts.

I have a soft top or a power top. Is sound deadening still worth it?

Yes. A fabric roof lets in more wind and outside noise than a hardtop, and treating it is not the point. In this case the work is focused on the doors, the floor and the rear of the cabin. These are the areas where vibration and road noise come from, so you still get a real noise reduction and a quieter ride.

Why does the tailgate rattle, and can you fix it?

The Wrangler tailgate is a heavy, hinged panel with the spare wheel mounted on it. On rough roads it hums and rattles, and that sound goes straight into the cabin. Treating the tailgate is one of the most common additions on a Wrangler, and it makes a big difference to the noise from the rear. Unlike a sedan with a trunk lid, the whole back of a Wrangler is one large panel, so this area really pays off when it comes to reducing road noise from the rear.

Is the job different for a JL and a JK, or for 2-door and 4-door models?

We work on both the JL and the JK, in 2-door and 4-door versions. The principle is the same, but the Unlimited 4-door has a bigger cabin, so it needs more material and more time. The technician checks your exact vehicle and plans the material for each zone.

I wash the interior of my Wrangler. Is that a problem?

Tell us about it before the work starts. Many Wrangler owners wash the floor or use the car with the doors and roof off, and the technician plans the installation with this in mind. Quality materials are made not to absorb moisture and to seal against the metal. Before any mat is installed, the metal surfaces are cleaned and degreased so no gaps are left under the material. In the industry, isopropyl alcohol is the usual choice for this step.

Can sound deadening make my Wrangler completely quiet?

No, and we won’t promise that. A Wrangler will never be fully sound proof, and no car sound deadener insulation can eliminate road noise or external noise completely. What effective sound deadening does is bring unwanted noise down to a level where the cabin feels calm. Decibels work on a logarithmic scale, so even a few decibels less is something you clearly hear.

Will my speakers and music sound better?

Yes. When the door panels stop vibrating along with the speakers, the car sound becomes fuller and the bass gets tighter. You hear the music clearly at a lower volume, and many owners are surprised by the difference in the factory audio.

Does it also help with heat in the Dubai summer?

Yes. Heat insulation and thermal insulation are among the main reasons customers in the UAE choose our soundproofing service. The materials slow down heat transfer through the floor and body panels, so the cabin stays cooler and the air conditioning copes better. How much temperature control you gain depends on which zones are treated.

How long does the installation take and what do I get at the end?

The work takes 2 to 3 days. The technician removes the carpet, door trims and rear panels, treats the metal surfaces in detail and puts everything back. On the floor we use material no thicker than 4 mm, so the carpet sits flat. Each stage is photographed, and you receive a report showing which material went where.

How much does Wrangler sound deadening cost in Dubai?

Car soundproofing for a Wrangler starts from 10,500 AED, the price for our SUV category. The final price depends on the body type, the zones you choose and the materials. Plastic squeaks and rattles in the cabin can be fixed as an additional service. The technician agrees the full list and the price with you before work begins.

Is it worth it compared with luxury cars that are quiet from the factory?

A Wrangler will never feel like a luxury car inside, and it doesn’t have to. But for owners who drive it every day, sound deadening is a smart upgrade: you keep the Wrangler character and get the peace and focus you need on the highway. It also helps protect the cabin from heat.
